How do I open the floating window?
Open a YouTube video and click the Floaty button in the player's control bar (next to the settings gear), or press Alt + P.
I don't see the Floaty button in the player.
Reload the YouTube tab once after installing or updating. Floaty needs Chrome 116 or newer; check your version at chrome://settings/help.
Clicking the toolbar icon doesn't pop out the video.
The toolbar icon opens the help popup. Chrome only allows a floating window to be opened by a click or key press inside the page, so use the button in the player or Alt + P.
What are the keyboard shortcuts?
Inside the floating window: Space play/pause, ← and → skip 10 seconds, ↑ and ↓ volume, [ and ] speed, A for A-B loop, R for loop, M for mute, Shift+N next, Shift+P previous.
How does the A-B loop work?
Press the A-B button (or A) at the start point, then again at the end point. That part repeats until you press it a third time.
Subtitles don't show in the floating window.
This is a known limitation of the current version. Subtitle support is planned for the next update.
Can I make the window transparent?
No. Chrome doesn't let extensions change the transparency of the floating window.
How do I change the language?
Click the Floaty icon in the toolbar and choose a language at the bottom of the popup.
